If the inspection can be confined to one readily defined area of concern, a Specific Defect Report option is available.

Examples of issues which can be addressed in a specific defect report include:
  • Cracking to one part of the property
  • A bowing or leaning wall
  • A sagging roof
  • Inadequately supported chimney breast
  • Defects to a garage or boundary wall
  • Movement to a ground bearing floor slab
A Specific Defect Report is not suitable where there is cracking in more than one area, or if there are other structural defects in multiple locations. A Structural Engineer's Report or Building Survey would then be recommended.
